The first session of the Najaf Technical Institute Council for the 2025-2026 academic year was held, chaired by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, and attended by senior staff. The Council discussed a set of strategic themes aimed at enhancing the educational and academic environment and raising the quality of outputs, in line with labor market requirements.
The Dean of the Institute emphasized the need to form specialized scientific committees within each department. These committees aim to develop curricula, supervise research projects, and provide academic support to faculty and students. This step is essential to ensuring the institute keeps pace with the latest developments in technical and scientific fields and enhance the quality of education provided.
Medical laboratories and engineering workshops received utmost importance in the discussion, with the Dean directing efforts to develop them and equip them with the latest devices and equipment. The importance of maintaining and developing the lecture hall was also emphasized, in cooperation between maintenance staff and technical departments, to ensure a stimulating and practical learning environment that supports the practical aspects of the educational process.
The Council emphasized the importance of activating the role of educational guidance in building students’ personalities and guiding them toward their academic and professional paths. The Council also emphasized the need to give student activities, whether sports, cultural, or artistic, their true and effective role. These activities aim to develop students’ social and intellectual skills and open new horizons for interaction and creativity outside of lectures.
As part of preparations for the new academic year, the Dean of the Institute requested that lecture schedules be prepared and published in advance of the actual start of classes. This measure aims to save time and effort for students and faculty, enabling them to organize their schedules and plan their tasks in advance, contributing to an organized and effective start to the academic year.
This first meeting reflects the Deanship of the Najaf Technical Institute’s commitment to achieving a qualitative shift in academic and administrative performance through a clearly defined action plan focused on continuous development to serve students and the community.
