About the Unit

The Citizens Affairs Unit is an administrative unit under the office of the respected Dean, responsible for handling the affairs of citizens by receiving requests, problems, suggestions, and inquiries related to the institute, and addressing them through the relevant departments. The term “citizens” here refers to the students, staff members of the institute, and external visitors. This unit is considered one of the important and effective units due to its significant role in providing services to citizens and solving their problems as quickly as possible. It reflects a civilized state in developed societies and institutions, and enhances the relationship between the citizen and the institute in a framework of transparency and mutual respect.

Objectives of the Citizens Affairs Unit

The Citizens Affairs Unit represents a cultural and civilized interface between the institute, represented by the respected Dean, and the citizens, who include the institute’s students (both current and graduates), staff members, and external visitors. The objectives of this unit are to:

• Provide the best facilities and services to citizens, overcome any difficulties they may face within the institute, and complete their transactions within the specified timeframes.
• Directly supervise the organization of meetings with the respected President of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, according to the directives.
• Directly supervise the organization of meetings between the respected Dean and citizens to listen to their complaints and requests.
• Respond to inquiries from visitors related to the institute and direct them to the relevant departments and sections.

Thus, this unit reflects a civilized state in developed societies and strengthens the relationship between the citizen and the institute within a framework of transparency and mutual respect.

Working Mechanism of the Citizens Affairs Unit

• Receiving citizens, listening to their complaints, and directing them to the appropriate department or section.
• Writing requests clearly in the unit’s designated form only.
• Corresponding with the respected assistants, academic and administrative departments, sections, and units regarding the citizen’s request or seeking their opinion on it.
• Receiving all requests addressed to the respected Dean and presenting them for his opinion.
• Receiving all requests for meetings with the respected President of the University and coordinating with the University’s Citizens Affairs section to schedule the meeting.
• Following up on the Citizens Affairs group for the university, which is considered an official channel for expediting the process of receiving and delivering mail for the University’s Citizens Affairs section.
