The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department was established in 2008. It is administratively linked to the Dean of the Institute (Chairman of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Committee) according to the organizational structure of the institute. The department consists of four units: (Performance Evaluation Unit, Training and Technical Support Unit, Quality Assurance Unit, and Laboratories Accreditation Unit).

Preparing reports on the implementation of institutional and program accreditation.
Monitoring the latest developments in quality assurance and academic accreditation.
Documenting the institutional and program accreditation standards for the institute.
Encouraging faculty members to publish scientific research in internationally ranked journals.
Conducting visits by the Quality Assurance Department to the academic departments, divisions, and units to identify weaknesses in quality issues and encourage them to address them.
Measuring opinions through conducting periodic surveys of the components of the educational process (faculty members, students, curriculum).
Evaluating performance in the institute’s departments and taking necessary actions to assess the level of performance and its quality.
Creating a database for all activities of the institute’s departments and following up on the development of the educational process within them.
Providing assistance, advice, and guidance to all departments regarding performance improvement programs.
Working on evaluating the electronic performance of all departments, divisions, and units of the institute and submitting the necessary reports related to it.
Preparing final reports on the annual performance of the institute’s staff.
Any other tasks assigned to the department by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department to support the performance evaluation process.
Monitoring and auditing laboratory specifications against approved standard requirements.
Determining technical specifications for devices and equipment, coding them, and documenting their data in coordination with laboratory officials.
Following up on the implementation of calibration programs for devices and equipment with relevant authorities.
Coordinating with the university’s laboratory accreditation department to organize scheduled training courses for laboratory staff according to specialties, in line with international standards and national criteria.
Implementing procedures and requirements specified by the laboratory accreditation team on the ground.
Coordinating with relevant entities to conduct specialized courses to train department staff on laboratory auditor and quality inspector programs.
Preparing a study for laboratories and academic departments that reflects the current situation, required improvements, and addresses potential weaknesses.
