The Legal Department is one of the important and vital units at the Technical Institute. It was established in 2006 and is considered a safeguard for the organization in maintaining legal procedures in all actions taken by the department. The Legal Department aims to spread legal awareness and culture, and to provide legal advice by offering legal opinions, as it serves as a reference for legal matters. It is linked to the office of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The Legal Department is responsible for ensuring the proper application of the law and the regulations in force, as well as identifying cases of legal violations. It also answers official correspondence of a legal nature. The main tasks include:

1-Providing legal opinions and advice on matters presented to it and implementing relevant legislation.
2- Preparing and organizing legal contracts and guarantees, and certifying them, including those related to student affairs.
3- Representing the institute legally and advocating in lawsuits before courts, as well as reviewing police stations and other state departments to follow up on all cases related to the institute’s work.
4- Participating in general committees, investigative committees, and audit committees, and following up on their results.
5- Following up on judicial notifications.
6- Participating in meetings, seminars, and courses related to legal affairs, especially those concerning employee laws.
7- Offering suggestions and recommendations that contribute to raising legal awareness and responding to inquiries from all departments and units.
