In the Month of Awareness… The Technical Institute of Najaf Holds an Awareness Workshop for Breast Cancer Prevention

The Technical Institute of Najaf at Al-Furat Al-Awsat University, under the auspices of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and supervised by the Dean of the Technical Institute of Najaf, Professor Dr. Haidar Hassan Al-Abdali, in coordination with the Media and Government Communication Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit, organized an awareness workshop on breast cancer as part of the global Pink October events.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Hadeel Fadel Al-Jubouri, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, who reviewed the causes of breast cancer, its early symptoms, and ways to prevent it, emphasizing the importance of early detection in enhancing recovery chances.

The workshop saw significant interaction from female students and staff at the institute, with many questions and inquiries related to the disease being raised. Dr. Huda Saad also contributed to organizing integrated awareness activities aimed at raising community awareness about the disease.

The Dean of the Technical Institute of Najaf, Professor Dr. Haidar Hassan Al-Abdali, emphasized the importance of these events in serving the local community, highlighting the institute’s role in health awareness. He explained that breast cancer poses a threat to women’s health, but regular check-ups and awareness can significantly contribute to reducing its spread and achieving positive outcomes.

For her part, Dr. Hadeel Al-Jubouri confirmed that the goal of the workshop is to empower women to recognize the symptoms of the disease in its early stages and encourage them to undergo regular check-ups to increase their chances of recovery. This workshop is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the Technical Institute of Najaf to enhance health awareness among its members and the local community.
