Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Mousawi, has approved granting the councils of universities, colleges, and institutes not affiliated with universities the authority to adjust the results of applicants for postgraduate studies who obtained scores ranging from 40 to 44 in the competitive examination, by awarding them additional marks of up to 5 points, provided that vacant seats are available within the approved admission plan.
This approval comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to provide an opportunity for the largest possible number of applicants to fill the available seats within the postgraduate admission plan. The adjustment and allocation process shall be carried out based on the highest competitive score among the eligible applicants.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has emphasized the necessity of completing the procedures for adjusting results and filling the available seats within a period not exceeding three days from the date of notification, for all universities, colleges, and institutes covered by the decision without exception. The Ministry must also be informed of the full details of the procedures taken, as well as the results of the adjustment and seat allocation process, upon completion of the specified period.
The Ministry has also directed that the relevant university admission orders be issued after completing the process of filling the available seats, in accordance with the approved procedures and regulations.
