With the advent of the days commemorating the tragedy of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) during the holy month of Muharram, and in remembrance of the immortal Battle of Karbala, Al-Najaf Technical Institute, one of the institutes of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, organized a Husseini Council under the slogan:
“Intellectual and Ethical Enrichment Inspired by the Revolution of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).”
The council witnessed distinguished attendance led by the Dean of Al-Najaf Technical Institute, Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, along with the institute’s senior administrative staff, faculty members, employees, and a number of academics from Al-Najaf Engineering Technical College.
The academic platform was honored by the presence of Sheikh Prof. Hassan Al-Dujaili, who delivered a valuable lecture distinguished by its unique integration of the scientific academic approach with the moral lessons and humanitarian values inspired by the blessed Revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). Sheikh Al-Dujaili highlighted the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), emphasizing how these principles can be translated into practical conduct in both academic and professional life.
He stated:
“Drawing inspiration from the values embodied in the Revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is not merely an annual ritual; rather, it is a fundamental pillar in building an academically distinguished and nationally conscious personality.”
This educational and ethical lecture was part of a series of activities organized by the Institute’s Deanship with the aim of:
- Promoting Intellectual Awareness: Sustaining cultural and educational engagement among academic and administrative staff.
- Strengthening Ethical Values: Linking educational curricula with spiritual and national values that serve society.
- Supporting National Principles: Reinforcing the values of unity and reform advocated by the Husseini cause within classrooms and daily professional practices.
At the conclusion of the council, the attendees expressed the importance of continuing such seminars and Husseini gatherings, recognizing their significant role in strengthening both the spiritual and professional bonds within the educational institution. They prayed to Almighty Allah to bring these blessed days back upon the Islamic nation with goodness, blessings, peace, and security.
