About the institute

📋 Overview of the Technical Institute of Najaf

The institute was established in 1978 in a small building in the city of Kufa, and at that time it included only two scientific departments. In 1982, it moved to the city of Najaf Al-Ashraf, on the road connecting Najaf and Abu Sakhir. It currently includes 19 departments and 4 branches distributed across the following specializations: technological, administrative, arts, and medical.

To strive for our institute to be a leading, distinguished academic institution—creative, innovative, effective, and academically and educationally competent—socially influential, and holding a prestigious position among Iraqi institutes, as well as at the Arab and global levels.

To provide distinguished educational and research services that keep pace with international academic quality standards, enrich human knowledge, and promote the exchange of expertise with Arab and global academic institutions, in a manner consistent with the spirit of the times.

The institute seeks to achieve the following objectives:
1-Enhancing academic performance in line with international academic quality standards.
2-Supplying society with specialized scientific personnel across various fields of knowledge.
3- Conducting studies and research that contribute to achieving sustainable development.
4-Strengthening cooperation between the institute and the community.
5-Developing scientific and cultural relations with Iraqi, Arab, and international academic institutions.
6-Supporting and developing students’ scientific, cultural, artistic, and athletic talents and abilities.
7-Providing scientific and technical consultations to public and private sector institutions.
8-Promoting and marketing applied research.
9-Instilling principles of ethics, good conduct, and responsibility in students.
10-Enhancing critical thinking and the ability for continuous self-learning.
