Media and Government Communication Division/Najaf Technical Institute
The Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, hosted a volunteer visit to the Dar al-Ta’awun in Najaf, coinciding with the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative, undertaken by the Technology Department, embodies the values of social solidarity and reinforces the culture of volunteerism among university students.
The visit was led by Dr. Rabab Adnan Al-Rubaie, Head of the Technology Department, and included a select group of students from the department. Dr. Al-Rubaie contributed to the initiative by providing essential supplies and addressing specific needs, bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of this cherished group. The participants spent time exchanging friendly conversations, sharing experiences and stories, and enjoying each other’s company in an atmosphere of cooperation and camaraderie. Despite the visit, an agreement was reached to formulate a framework for cooperation between the institute and the center, which includes:
- Logistical and Administrative Support: The possibility of requesting faculty and students from the department to assist with financial records or provide administrative consultations that the center may require.
- Regular Activities: Continuous organization of recreational activities during cultural and national events to combat isolation and promote social integration.
- Community Awareness: The institute will organize seminars for authorities to highlight aspects of human rights and how to provide social care to these individuals.
Regarding this initiative, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali emphasized: “The responsibility of the Najaf technical engineer extends beyond the classroom; it encompasses the aspirations of our community. Our students’ visit to the Farq Center during this holy month is the highest practical application of the lessons of humanity and citizenship. We are committed to providing this cooperation with the center free of charge, reflecting the positive image of our university.” I made the visit with prayers for the residents of the home and for their well-being, amidst widespread praise from the home’s administration for this visit, which made good efforts in many people’s lives.
