After summer training became an essential part of the first-stage application requirements in the Civil Sciences Technology Department at Najaf Technical Institute, this training aims to prepare graduates for the public and private sectors by participating in work with contracting companies for major construction projects, such as residential complexes and bridges.
The technical staff in the department, represented by practical supervisor Hassan Engineer Daykh Salman and scientific supervisor Engineer Sabah Nouri Saeed, are keen to monitor the students partially during the training period and to enable them to acquire the necessary scientific and practical skills. The students joined experienced professionals with specialized engineering devices such as the learning device (level) and theodolite, which accurately measure elevation and depression interactions, helping in the development of innovations.
An important step towards strengthening the curriculum and meeting the needs of the labor market, and with the tireless efforts of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, a Surveying Technology Branch was established within the Civil Engineering Technology Department. This new branch aims to graduate specialized personnel in surveying engineering, equipping them with highly accurate technical skills to meet the changing demands of the job market.
“Our students’ summer training is a cornerstone in preparing them to keep pace with the demands of the job market. Through creative work on modern equipment, our students acquire skills that translate knowledge into real-world experience. The establishment of the Surveying Technology Branch is an innovative step to address the Construction Sugar Company’s need for specialized personnel, which necessarily reflects new innovative approaches to development, equipping our graduates with highly technical skills.”
