As part of strengthening academic and technical cooperation and the twinning agreement concluded between Sheikh Tusi University and the Najaf Technical Institute, a delegation from Sheikh Tusi University visited the Najaf Technical Institute, headed by the President of Sheikh Tusi University, Professor Dr. Qasim Al-Asadi, and attended by the University President’s Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Al-Salami. They were received by the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, and his assistants.
During the visit, the delegation inspected the Health Management Technologies Department at the institute, reviewed its academic curricula, and discussed the possibility of establishing a Bachelor’s program in Health Management Technologies at Sheikh Tusi University. This initiative comes within the framework of strengthening the academic partnership between the two institutions and expanding the scope of academic programs that serve the needs of the labor market.
The visit also included the Medical Device Technologies Department, where the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute reviewed a group of laboratory and scientific experimentation devices manufactured at the institute. The delegation praised the high quality of these devices compared to their cost, reflecting the institute’s ability to produce world-class medical and technical equipment.
As part of strengthening cooperation between universities, technical institutes, and the business sector, the Najaf Technical Institute’s workshops were visited, including welding, carpentry, and CNC workshops, in addition to the institute’s advanced production lines. These workshops represent an important pillar in meeting the private sector’s needs for technical equipment, as well as supporting graduate student projects, contributing to the development of students’ skills in various fields.
At the conclusion of the visit, the President of Sheikh al-Tusi University, Professor Qasim al-Asadi, expressed his great admiration for the students of the Najaf Technical Institute, who completed their studies at Sheikh al-Tusi University. He praised the graduates’ high level of competence, emphasizing that the Najaf Technical Institute has significantly contributed to qualifying students and enhancing their knowledge of practical and technical aspects through its advanced departments and workshops. This visit reflects the continued fruitful cooperation between Sheikh Al-Tusi University and the Najaf Technical Institute, and underscores the importance of this partnership in improving educational and technical standards and developing the academic capabilities of students in various disciplines.
