Stars of People of Determination Shine at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University: Inspiring Success Stories

On Sunday, December 29, the Technical Institute-Najaf witnessed a special festival for people of determination held in the Scientific Complex Hall, where attendees gathered to celebrate the achievements of this important segment of society.
The festival was attended by a delegation from the People of Determination Volunteer Team, represented by Professor Yasmine and other professors, headed by Mr. Amer Al-Kanabi. They were received by the Assistant Dean for Global Affairs, Dr. Salah Al-Adli, and students of the Department of Oil Refining Technologies, Dental Prevention and Orthodontics Technologies, and the Department of Vision Examination Technologies. In her speech, the leader of the Friends of People of Determination Team, Ms. Yasmine Al-Sharaa, stressed the importance of social integration of people of determination and their economic empowerment, noting that the team is striving to achieve these goals. For his part, Mr. Amer Al-Kanabi provided a detailed overview of the legal rights of people of determination and how to obtain them, stressing the importance of raising community awareness of the rights of this group. The festival also witnessed the honoring of the champions of people with disabilities in table tennis, namely the champion Banin Karim and the champion Zahraa Ali, who represent Iraq in international forums and have achieved many accomplishments. Each of them gave an enthusiastic speech that encouraged students to work and strive and drew their attention to the segment of society with disabilities and the importance of integrating them into life. The students raised hashtags that included words of support and advocacy for people with high disabilities. In his comment, Dr. Salah Al-Adli stated (that the Najaf Technical Institute, under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Al-Abdali, has made strenuous efforts and real success stories over the years in embracing, educating and graduating students with disabilities. They have special examination halls and educational tools available to them). Dr. Al-Adli, on behalf of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Al-Abdali, presented certificates of appreciation to the delegation of friends of people with disabilities and the heroes with disabilities accompanying them. At the end of the festival, the People of Determination team extended their sincere thanks to the Technical Institute in Najaf for hosting this important event, stressing the importance of community partnership in supporting and caring for people of determination. It is worth noting that this festival is the culmination of a series of exceptional efforts made by the Deanship of the Technical Institute, represented by the Dean, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, to support and empower people of determination, and to affirm their right to a decent life and active participation in society
