Government Communication and Media Division/ Najaf Technical Institute
Al-Najaf Technical Institute, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, witnessed great success in holding a specialized medical camp for vision examination, under the generous patronage of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Vision Examination Department, Dr. Haider Aziz Al-Shabli, in the middle of this month and in the gardens of the institute for two days.
The camp, which was organized by the Vision Examination Technology Department, aimed to examine the institute’s students from various departments and specializations, in order to determine any refractive errors in their vision and provide the necessary therapeutic eyeglasses. A group of professors from the department participated in this camp, in addition to a group of students from the first and second stages of morning and evening studies.
The medical team was able to examine approximately 200 male and female students, where comprehensive examinations were conducted using the latest medical devices, including an automatic refraction and visual acuity measurement device. After the examination, the appropriate eyeglasses were prescribed for each case individually, with the aim of correcting vision and solving the visual problems that students suffer from. The aim of this camp is to educate students about the importance of taking care of eye health and conducting regular periodic examinations, in order to preserve this blessing of sight. It also aims to provide the necessary health care for students and provide them with eyeglasses.
In the same context, Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, stressed the importance of this initiative in caring for students’ health, noting that the institute always seeks to provide the best services to its students. The success of the vision examination camp at our institute confirms the importance of caring for students’ health and providing them with the necessary health care. This pioneering initiative, which is the result of fruitful cooperation between various parties, has been able to improve the lives of dozens of students, and we called for its repetition and expansion to include more students and educational institutions. The Dean of the Institute expressed his sincere thanks to the professors and students who held the vision examination camp and supervised its success.
