Within the framework of the activities of “Entrepreneurship Week”, and under the direction of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and with a generous initiative from the Dean of Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department of Design and Architectural Decoration, Dr. Hussein Mazloum, the Department of Design and Architectural Decoration organized a specialized scientific symposium on entrepreneurship.
The symposium received great attention from students and professors, as it addressed various aspects of entrepreneurship, starting from the definition of entrepreneurship and its concept, all the way to the most important skills and knowledge necessary for the success of entrepreneurial projects. A group of experts and specialists in the field of entrepreneurship gave valuable lectures that highlighted the importance of creative thinking and innovation in developing ideas and transforming them into successful projects.
Objectives of the seminar: This seminar aims to achieve several main objectives, including:

  1. Encouraging students to think creatively: by presenting realistic models of successful entrepreneurial projects, and encouraging students to develop their own ideas.
  2. Building entrepreneurial capabilities: Providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to start their own projects, such as marketing skills, business management, and raising investments.
  3. Linking the academy to the labor market: by inviting successful entrepreneurs to share their experiences with students, and providing insights into the labor market and its requirements.
  4. Stimulating the spirit of initiative and innovation: instilling a culture of entrepreneurship among students, and encouraging them to participate in entrepreneurship competitions and events.
    Symposium activities: The symposium witnessed a variety of activities, including:
  5. Scientific lecture: During which experts gave lectures on various aspects of entrepreneurship.
  6. Interactive workshop: During which students were trained on practical skills such as formulating business plans and giving presentations.
  7. Project ideas exhibition: In which students presented their creative ideas for their future projects.
  8. Discussion session: During which the students were given the opportunity to ask their questions and inquiries. In his opening speech, the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Al-Abdali, stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in developing society and providing job opportunities for young people. He pointed out that the Institute pays great attention to supporting entrepreneurship among students and provides them with all the necessary capabilities to achieve their dreams. The symposium achieved great success, as it excited the students and encouraged them to think positively about their professional future. It also contributed to building a network of relationships between students and entrepreneurs, which will contribute to enhancing the spirit of cooperation and teamwork. This symposium is considered an important step in the Institute’s journey towards supporting entrepreneurship and encouraging students to be creative and innovative. It is expected that this initiative will contribute to graduating generations of entrepreneurs capable of changing reality and achieving sustainable development.
