The symposium addressed the legal aspects related to extremism crimes, as Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Hassan Al-Abadi reviewed the Iraqi and international laws and legislation that criminalize extremism and incitement to it. He also shed light on the legal measures taken to combat this phenomenon, and the role of the security and judicial agencies in reducing it.
The lecturer stressed the importance of adhering to the strict application of the law to hold accountable those involved in extremist acts, while emphasizing respect for human rights and ensuring justice. He stressed the need for society to cooperate with legal authorities to provide a safe and stable environment.
The symposium witnessed fruitful interaction from the attendees, as many legal issues related to extremism were discussed, including how to deal with extremist cybercrimes.
