📋 About the Department
The Renewable Energy Technologies Branch is one of the modern branches at Najaf Polytechnic College. It was established in the 2025–2026 academic year within the Department of Electrical Technologies. The branch specializes in the study, operation, and maintenance of energy generation systems based on clean energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, and other renewable sources. The branch aims to prepare technical and engineering personnel equipped with practical skills in the design and implementation of renewable energy systems to meet the needs of industrial and service institutions. It includes specialized laboratories that provide students with practical training in modern technologies related to solar cells, wind turbines, energy storage systems, and control systems. Its establishment is aligned with the Iraqi state’s direction toward transitioning to sustainable energy, reducing carbon emissions, and preserving the environment.
