📋 About the Department

The department was established in the academic year 1995–1996 under the specialization of Legal Administration. Its curriculum includes administrative and legal courses, designed to meet the needs of judicial, legal, and other government institutions. The department has supplied these institutions with competent graduates, many of whom now work in various courts. Some have also been appointed in legal departments across state institutions in Najaf Governorate. The department continues to provide qualified graduates, taught by a specialized faculty holding Master’s and Doctorate degrees in administration and law.

To make the department distinguished in its field, meeting community needs through active contribution to social, economic, and cultural development. This is achieved by qualifying students in administrative and legal sciences, enabling creativity and innovation with the quality demanded by the labor market, and developing scientific research to address administrative and legal challenges while improving the curriculum.

The department strives through its academic, practical, and research efforts to prepare graduates who possess the knowledge and skills necessary for managing the labor market from legal and administrative perspectives across various legal, judicial, and administrative institutions, as well as law offices and companies. This is achieved using a dual learning and teaching strategy in its curriculum and research activities to create potential opportunities for innovation and achievement.

  • Prepare qualified technical personnel capable of performing criminal investigation tasks, procedural legal work, and administrative duties required in judicial institutions, other state institutions, and the private sector.
The Department of Legal Administration Techniques aims to prepare qualified technical personnel to carry out criminal investigation tasks, legal procedural and administrative tasks required in the judicial field, and in other state institutions and the private sector, as follows:
1- Working in the field of criminal investigation under the supervision of investigation judges.
2- Following up on legal procedures in judicial and legal departments within state institutions and the private sector.
3- Performing administrative tasks required by the judiciary and legal institutions, as well as other state institutions.
4- Writing various legal records, such as reports, inspections, receipts, and the delivery of goods, among others.
5- Performing legal assistance tasks in law offices, companies, and legal consultation offices.
