Jan 08, 2025
The student who is accepted into universities must meet the following conditions:
Iraqi nationality.
Holds an Iraqi secondary school certificate, validated by the Directorate General of Education in the governorate, or holds an equivalent certificate.
The student must be born in 1994 or later.
Passes the medical examination according to the specific conditions for each program, and the blind student (who meets the conditions for admission to suitable humanities studies) applies through the central admission process.
The student must be fully dedicated to studying and may not combine employment with study (at the same time) in morning colleges and institutes. This applies to all employees of government institutions, and for them to continue their studies, they must obtain a study leave from their departments according to the applicable instructions. Combining two studies is not allowed, and if proven otherwise, the ministry will be informed to cancel their acceptance. (An employed student may defer their studies according to the instructions to fulfill the condition of completing two years of service or sick leave to be eligible for a study leave according to the study leave instructions).
Graduates of:
A. The current academic year.
B. The previous academic year, who were not accepted centrally into any college or institute, will be admitted according to the minimum acceptance requirements for their graduation year. If it is proven that the student was accepted into any college or institute, their acceptance will revert to the original admission, and their year will be considered a failure.
Non-Iraqi students who hold an Iraqi secondary school certificate and are accepted centrally will be notified in writing to visit the Central Admission Department/Foreign Students Section to determine if they are exempt from or required to pay tuition fees in foreign currency according to the regulations in Chapter Seven.
