📋 About the Department
The Dental Technology Department was established in the academic year 2023-2024 and offers both morning and evening programmes. The department welcomed its first cohort of 66 students in the morning programme and 209 students in the evening programme. The department aims to graduate specialised technical staff to work in various hospitals and health centres, as well as in laboratories producing materials for the dental industry.

The vision of the Dental Technology Department is to achieve a high standing by keeping pace with scientific developments and meeting the needs of the specialised medical field of dental technology in all public and private health sectors. The department also strives to achieve global accreditation in dental technology education, thereby creating an environment that supports excellence and creativity among students and their professors.
The department aims to create an integrated educational and training environment for students and researchers based on the latest advances in dental technology, in order to prepare technical cadres with outstanding skills and advanced expertise capable of providing the best services in their field of specialisation.
- Staff training: Preparing and graduating skilled and competent medical technicians with high levels of professionalism to serve the community
- Acquiring laboratory skills: Providing graduates with outstanding laboratory skills that enable them to manufacture complete and partial dentures, crowns, bridges, and devices such as orthodontic appliances with high craftsmanship
- Accomplishing tasks: Performing dental manufacturing, orthodontics, and facial and jaw replacements in health institutions to meet the needs of society.
- Familiarity with technical developments: Enabling students to become familiar with all information related to dental materials and their properties, in addition to dental device technologies, and to deal with all developments in this field.
- Supporting the scientific community: Working to support the scientific and academic community with the latest global technological developments in the field of dental technology.
- Promoting scientific cooperation: Building channels of communication and promoting cooperation with all scientific departments and specialised laboratories in the field of dental technology.
1. Qualify graduates in laboratory techniques for manufacturing complete dentures and handling the necessary equipment and tools.
2. Qualify graduates in laboratory techniques for manufacturing partial dentures of all types.
3. Qualifying graduates in the laboratory techniques necessary for repairing and rehabilitating complete and partial dentures, applying and renewing the denture base, and adding teeth.
4. Handling and maintaining various devices in dental laboratories, such as acrylic and chrome cobalt laboratories, crowns, bridges, and orthodontics.
