About the Branch
The Power Electrical Techniques Branch was established in the Technical Institute / Al-Najaf in 1987, and it is considered one of the main branches in the Department of Electrical Technologies. Its establishment aimed to prepare qualified technical personnel with both theoretical and practical skills in the field of electrical power systems, as well as in the operation and maintenance of various electrical equipment and systems. As part of the development of the academic and technical structure of the institute, the Electrical Installations Branch and the Electrical Machines Branch were merged into one branch named Power Electrical Techniques. This integration was intended to unify related specializations and enhance the efficiency of educational outcomes in line with the needs of the labor market and the infrastructure projects in the electricity sector.
