Media and Government Communication Division/Najaf Polytechnic College
The Deanship of Najaf Polytechnic College (one of the colleges of the Middle Euphrates Technical University) extends its warmest congratulations to the academic community, teaching and technical staff, our dear students, those interested in health and medical research, and the entire Iraqi community, on the occasion of the official opening of the “Nursing and Cardiac Care Technologies” Department.
On this auspicious occasion, the Dean, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, offered his sincerest congratulations to the teaching and technical staff whose exceptional efforts contributed to achieving this academic milestone. He also commended the pivotal role of the students, who represent the core of this specialized field, which is a strategic addition to the educational and health system in Iraq.
The Department of Nursing and Cardiac Care Technologies will be launched to support the Iraqi health sector. The establishment of the Department of Nursing and Cardiac Care Technology is a direct response to the critical need in hospitals and specialized centers for highly qualified and competent technical staff capable of managing cardiovascular diseases, which are among the most prevalent health challenges.
- Meeting the needs of the job market: The department provides national healthcare institutions (both public and private) with specialized personnel capable of managing and connecting cardiac monitoring devices, handling emergency cases and cardiac intensive care (CCU/ICU), and actively participating in catheterization procedures and delicate surgical operations.
- Supporting scientific research: The department provides a fertile environment for conducting advanced medical and applied research in collaboration with local and international research centers, contributing to the development of preventive and diagnostic treatment protocols.
This specialization opens broad horizons for students to advance their professional and academic careers:
Locally: It offers graduates the opportunity to assume leadership and technical roles in specialized hospitals, while providing a solid foundation for pursuing postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD) in medical technology and critical care.
Globally: The curriculum and practical applications are designed to meet international health standards, enhancing the competitiveness of Iraqi graduates in the regional and international job market and providing them with opportunities to join global medical institutions and associations specializing in cardiology and CT imaging.
The college administration affirms its full commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with the latest medical simulation devices, ensuring the preparation of a promising generation capable of delivering the highest levels of healthcare to serve our dear people.
