The Dean of Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, in his capacity as Vice-Chairman of the Committee of Deans, participated in the periodic meeting of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Disciplines at Iraqi technical universities. The meeting was hosted by the General Secretariat of the Northern Technical University Council in the University Council Hall.
The meeting was attended by a high-level delegation, including the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Disciplines, Professor Dr. Ali Nasser Hussein, and committee members from various Iraqi technical universities.
Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali’s participation in the meeting focused on enriching the key themes related to developing the educational landscape. The attendees discussed:
- Updating study plans: and reviewing curricula to keep pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements.
- Comprehensive academic accreditation: strengthening development and modernization processes in accordance with the requirements of comprehensive quality. 3. Meeting Labor Market Needs: Aligning educational and technical outputs to meet the actual requirements of institutions and the labor market.
- Scientific Research and the Educational Environment: Reviewing the most prominent opportunities and challenges facing engineering disciplines and developing recommendations to support institutional development.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali and the committee members were honored by the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, who presented them with the university’s shield and a letter of thanks and appreciation. This honor was in recognition of the committee’s active academic and scientific role in monitoring the affairs of engineering disciplines and raising the level of educational programs.
For her part, the President of the Northern Technical University praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the committee members in formulating academic policies and developing scientific visions, emphasizing that the successes achieved are the fruit of cooperation and joint integration among technical academic institutions in Iraq.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Al-Abdali, along with the members of the committee, expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the Northern Technical University for the warm welcome and excellent organization, stressing the importance of continuing this high level of coordination in order to serve the progress of higher and technical education in Iraq.
