Media and Government Communication Division / Technical Institute of Najaf

In embodiment of the vision of the Technical Institute of Najaf to cultivate a generation armed with knowledge and values, and under the direct patronage of the Institute’s Dean, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, students from the Departments of (Dental Technology, Civil Techniques, and Health Administration Techniques) celebrated the Mahdawi Birth Week. This was achieved through organizing major student and cultural festivals in commemoration of the birth of the Savior of Humanity, Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), coinciding with the joyous month of Sha’ban.

These events are part of the Deanery’s strategy to promote the “ethical conscience” and create a sustainable student environment that combines academic excellence with spiritual elevation. The activities commenced with beautiful recitations from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the righteous martyrs of Iraq who inscribed the highest meanings of sacrifice with their blood.

In his guiding speech, Dr. Al-Abdali congratulated the students on these blessed days, emphasizing the Deanery’s message of encouraging youth to emulate the moral conduct of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He stated:
“Striving in the pursuit of knowledge is not merely an academic path; it is an essential part of our ethical responsibility toward the homeland and sacred values.”

The stage of creativity was graced by a selection of poets who expressed their love for Iraq and the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), embedding concepts of humanity and hope for a better future through their poems. The festivals also witnessed distinguished participation by the eulogists of Ahl al-Bayt, who highlighted the significant educational and ethical role played by the Institute’s Deanery, invoking poetic imagery that reflected deep moral history.

The events of this week demonstrated the Institute Deanery’s success in transforming cultural gatherings into comprehensive educational platforms aimed at:

  1. Strengthening national identity by recalling the sacrifices of martyrs and instilling the values of patriotism.
  2. Building professional behavior by linking medical and technical specializations to values of honesty and humanitarian service.
  3. Providing moral support by fostering an atmosphere of mutual care and trust between students and their teaching staff.

The festivals concluded with attendees praying for God to grant Iraq security and prosperity, while the students pledged to continue advancing along the path of knowledge and virtue.
