As part of the university’s plan to modernize its educational environment, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, inaugurated a package of strategic (academic and service) projects at Al-Najaf Technical Institute. He was received and accompanied during the tour by Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, Dean of the Institute, in the presence of the University Vice Presidents and Deans of the university’s departments.
The inaugurations included specialized projects designed to enhance practical training, most notably:
- Cosmetic and Laser Technology Laboratories, representing an advanced scientific step aimed at enhancing clinical training. These laboratories include specialized units such as (Nutrition & Weight Loss, Tattoo Removal, Pigmentation Removal, and Hair Removal), all equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic devices.
- Advanced Industrial Workshop (CNC) to support the engineering sector with modern digital manufacturing technologies.
- Information Technology Laboratories to develop students’ digital and programming skills.
- Expansion of Lecture Halls to accommodate the Departments of (Dental Hygiene & Orthodontic Technologies) and (Forensic Evidence).
The achievements were not limited to physical construction but also included laboratory automation through an integrated internal network connecting all laboratory units with the IT Division to ensure rapid data exchange. This allows for professional management of laboratories, from organizing schedules to monitoring equipment usage and maintenance, in line with global standards of educational institutions.
The tour concluded with the inauguration of the new Deanship Building, which serves as an administrative landmark supporting the institute’s infrastructure and facilitating technical and administrative procedures for both faculty and students.
