Under the guidance of the Dean of the Technical Institute of Najaf, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Abdul-Abdali, the institute held a large national celebration on the occasion of Iraqi Victory Day, observed on the tenth of December. This day marks the announcement of the defeat of the dark forces of ISIS and the complete liberation of Iraqi territory.
The celebration embodied a spirit of unity and strong patriotism, as attendees recalled the solidarity of the brave Iraqi Armed Forces and the holy Popular Mobilization Forces in confronting terrorism, in response to the fatwa of the Supreme Religious Authority represented by His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (may his shadow endure).
The ceremony witnessed a distinguished and enthusiastic presence of the institute’s senior staff, faculty members, and students, who expressed pride in this great victory through:
- Standing during the playing of the Iraqi national anthem, as an expression of pride in national identity.
- Reciting Surah Al-Fatiha in mercy for the souls of the righteous martyrs who sacrificed their blood in response to the fatwa of jihad in defense of the beloved homeland.
The celebration also included speeches and patriotic poems delivered by students, expressing their love for Iraq and commemorating the great sacrifices made by the nation’s brave sons in confronting ISIS terrorism.
