Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Abdul-Abdali, the Medical Advocacy and Educational Guidance Unit inaugurated the institute’s “Advocacy Week” activities. The event was attended by a distinguished group of students, professors, specialists, and a large audience.
The ceremony, which saw a significant turnout from the institute’s faculty and staff, along with a large number of students, began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of Iraq’s martyrs.
As part of the cooperation between leading academic bodies, the Najaf Governorate Police Command joined the two institutes. Iyad Khairallah delivered a specialized awareness lecture on “The Dangers of Electronic Blackmail,” accompanied by a video presentation, which explored the potential consequences of this phenomenon. To convey the great idea creatively, a select group of female students from the institute presented a theatrical performance depicting the reality of cyber extortion and its psychological effects, which resonated with the students and attendees. The segments dedicated to my complete poetry, with its wise messages and unnecessary elaboration, added a distinctive literary touch to the first day’s events.
The opening events concluded with the Dean of the Technical Institute confirming that the week’s programs would encompass all academic departments, aiming to enhance students intellectually and psychologically and keep pace with contemporary challenges.
