The Najaf Technical Institute, affiliated with the Middle Euphrates Technical University, announces the introduction of the Surveying Techniques Study, a branch within the Civil Engineering Techniques Department. The institute is accepting new students for the current academic year, including graduates of both the scientific and vocational branches. Study Outcomes and Acquired Skills:

  1. Field Technical Skills: Experienced in using modern surveying equipment such as the Total Station, GPS devices, and the Level. They are also proficient in land surveying and accurately identifying construction points.
  2. Office and Analytical Skills: Ability to use engineering drawing programs such as AutoCAD to prepare maps and plans, analyze surveying data, and prepare the necessary technical reports.

Job Description:

  1. Graduates of this major work as surveyors or assistant civil engineers on construction projects. Their duties include the following:
  2. Field Surveying: Carrying out the necessary surveys for road, bridge, and building projects, and determining their boundaries and levels.
  3. Supporting Civil Engineers: Providing accurate survey data needed by engineers to implement their designs, and assisting in calculating excavation and burial quantities for construction sites.
  4. Monitoring and Documentation: Monitoring construction work to ensure its compliance with engineering plans, and accurately and systematically documenting all completed survey data.
  5. Graduates of this major work in engineering consulting offices, contracting companies, and government departments such as roads and housing departments.
