Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul-Wahab Abdul-Razzaq, a lecturer at the Najaf Technical Institute, participated as a member of the master’s thesis defense committee at the Technical Administrative College/Kufa. Dr. Abdul-Razzaq participated in the defense of student Banin Saadoun Mohsen’s thesis, titled “The Impact of Big Data Analysis on Financial Reports: A Survey Study.”
The thesis addressed a critical topic in light of rapid technological development. It sought to explore the impact of Big Data Analytics on the quality and content of corporate financial reports. The study focused on how these modern technologies contribute to enhancing the reliability, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of financial reports, providing more accurate and transparent insights into corporate performance.
The researcher used a survey approach to collect data from financial managers, certified public accountants, and financial analysts. She also conducted a comprehensive review of previous literature related to the topic. The study predicted that big data analysis would lead to significant improvements in companies’ ability to predict future financial performance, while highlighting the challenges associated with this transformation, such as the need for new skills and concerns related to data security.

After an in-depth academic discussion, the dissertation was accepted, and the student, Banin Saadoun Mohsen, was awarded a Master’s degree in Accounting Technology with high distinction, reflecting the effort and academic originality of the research. This academic success also reflects the Najaf Technical Institute’s commitment to promoting scientific research and active participation in academic activities at the university and technical college levels.
