The Department of Computer Networks and Software Technologies, in cooperation with the Institute’s Continuing Education Center, held a planned scientific seminar entitled “How to Choose a Research Dissertation Title.” Eng. Suhad Abdul Zahra Hajim lectured at the seminar, which targeted institute members and took place in the Scientific Complex Hall.
The seminar focused on the following points:
- Enhancing academic awareness of the importance of formulating accurate and effective titles for research dissertations and theses.
- Shedding light on the methodological and scientific criteria for choosing a title that clearly reflects the research problem and its objectives.
- Discussing the most common mistakes made by new researchers in choosing titles and mechanisms for correcting them.
- Enhancing members’ ability to evaluate research titles.
- Sharing experiences among researchers on how to develop a research idea into a solid scientific title.
In the same context, the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, praised the symposium, saying, “This symposium was at the heart of our academic and research interests, highlighting essential issues that serve our scientific journey. The exchange of expertise and knowledge in such events enriches discussion and opens new horizons for cooperation and innovation. We strongly encourage the continuation of these qualitative initiatives that drive progress in our fields.”
The scientific symposium, organized by the Department of Computer Networks and Software Technologies, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the Najaf Technical Institute, concluded with a positive impact on enhancing the skills of participants in selecting the titles of their research theses. The Dean emphasized the importance of these initiatives in enriching the scientific process and encouraging cooperation and innovation.
