The technical representative of Najaf Technical Institute, one of the formations of Al-Furat Technical University, participated in the Prime Minister’s / Youth Ambassadors Program position.
The Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, and the Head of the Oil Refining Technology Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Salah Mahdi Saleh, were at the forefront of those welcoming me.
The Dean welcomed the guest delegation and emphasized continued engagement with the state and the higher education sector, particularly with regard to supporting the segment of young graduates and preparing them for integration into the labor market.
Members participated in the significant and distinguished efforts made by Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali in developing the institute across various academic and administrative branches and its organizational structure, emphasizing that these achievements reflect the respect of a conscious leadership and a genuine commitment to advancing the educational and technical reality in focus. As part of the visit, a seminar was presented entitled:
“Employment Opportunities for Those About to Become Liberated: Challenges, Reality, and Ambition.”
We highlighted a number of trends related to the reality of the labor market in Iraq and the challenges facing youth after graduation. The importance of digital work for Jews was also emphasized, as well as motivating youth to join liberal sports organizations.
The seminar was moderated by Assistant Moderator Engineer Ahmed Mohsen Al-Sayyah, representing the Youth Ambassadors Program. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of students possessing labor market skills, including digital skills, communication skills, and critical thinking. He also noted the government’s continued support for large-scale small projects as an effective solution to the labor problem.
The seminar witnessed positive interaction from the institute’s students, who raised many questions related to the reality of work and opportunities available after graduation, and expressed their growing anticipation of such awareness-raising activities.
The visit concluded with the Prime Minister’s Office expressing its gratitude to the university students for the warm welcome and excellent organization, emphasizing the need for cooperation, including with students across Iraq.
