As part of its commitment to developing students’ skills and professionally qualifying them, the Electricity Department at the Najaf Technical Institute organized a specialized training course entitled “CV Preparation.” Presented by M.M. Sadiq Abdullah, the course extended over three consecutive days. The course aimed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to write a professional CV that meets the requirements of the labor market. The course program included multiple topics spread over three days.
On the first day, the course focused on introducing trainees to the importance of a CV and its basic components, as well as learning additional details that contribute to enhancing the quality of the CV.
In the second topic, the lecturer provided practical advice for writing an effective CV. He also explained how to customize the CV to suit each position applied for. The third axis discussed practical application by presenting examples of realistic student CVs and discussing their strengths and weaknesses with the aim of providing constructive feedback. This course was organized as part of a comprehensive academic approach aimed at empowering students to acquire the tools for success in their professional lives by writing a professional CV that effectively expresses their abilities and skills and opens up broader career prospects after graduation. The Dean of the Institute, Professor Al-Abdali, praised the course, saying, “The ‘CV Preparation’ course, organized by the Electrical Engineering Department, reflects the Institute’s commitment to preparing our students for the job market. Equipping them with professional CV writing skills is a true investment in their professional future, giving them a competitive advantage and opening up broad prospects for them after graduation. We thank the lecturer for his valuable efforts.” Participants also praised the course content and presentation style, emphasizing that the information acquired will greatly assist them in their first steps toward the job market, particularly in preparing a compelling CV that attracts the attention of employers. This course is part of a series of training workshops the Institute is keen to organize to support students and empower them with the tools to apply to the job market, affirming its role in linking academic education with the practical skills required in professional life.
