Al-Nahf Technical Institute hosted a seminar entitled “The Future of Solar Energy”, as part of its efforts to raise awareness of the importance of renewable energy and encourage reliance on it. The seminar was attended by Engineer Ali Youssef, Director of the Maintenance Department at MTC, a British company specializing in solar energy. The lecturer addressed several important topics, including:
1.) The importance of solar energy as a clean and sustainable source of energy, and its environmental and economic benefits.
2) How to calculate the number of hours of solar energy production, and the factors affecting it.
3) Methods of installing solar panels, and best practices in this field.
4) Education and awareness of the importance of relying on clean energy, and the need to adopt solar energy solutions.
The seminar targeted students of the Technical Institute in general, and students of the Electrical Technology Department in particular, with the aim of providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of solar energy. In an important step, the British MTC Free Lights Company pledged to train students of the Electrical Technology Department at the Institute, as part of its commitment to supporting education and qualifying young cadres. In this regard, the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Al-Abdali, stated, “The Technical Institute in Najaf Al-Ashraf is pleased to have hosted an important seminar entitled “The Future of Solar Energy”, as part of our ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the importance of renewable energy and encourage reliance on it. We believe that solar energy represents a promising future for Iraq, and we are committed to qualifying our student cadres to be leaders in this vital field.” At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Institute honored the lecturer, Engineer Ali Youssef, and thanked him for his tireless efforts in supporting students and raising awareness of the importance of solar energy. This news reflects the interest of the Najaf Technical Institute in raising awareness of the importance of renewable energy and encouraging reliance on it.
