The Aviation Technology Department at Najaf Technical Institute celebrated a joyful festival on the occasion of the birth of the moons of the Household of Muhammad (peace be upon them), leading up to the birth of the awaited Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance). The festival witnessed a large student presence from various departments, and was distinguished by the blessing of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, and coinciding with the happy Islamic occasions in the blessed month of Shaaban.
The festival, which was organized by the Aviation Technology Department, which came at the initiative of the students and under the direction of the Dean of the Institute, included many activities that expressed their love and loyalty to the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them), including:
- Reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an: The festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, heralding the blessing of the occasion.
- The Head of the Aviation Technology Department delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he expressed the importance of celebrating the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and following their example.
- Poets took the stage and recited poems that praised the love of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and the moons of the family of Muhammad (peace be upon him), and praised their virtues and merits.
The students considered the celebration of the births of the moons of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to be a great religious and social occasion that contributes to strengthening their connection with the Ahl al-Bayt and reminding them of their fragrant virtues. They stressed the importance of reviving these occasions, which represent part of the rituals of God, and contribute to building the moral character of students, by drawing lessons and morals from the lives of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
This festival comes within a series of festivals organized by the institute, coinciding with religious and national occasions, and in response to the requirements of society and Islamic belief, and in belief in the importance of celebrating the symbols and leaders of the nation. The festival was attended by a large number of students from various departments, and was widely received by students, as students expressed their joy and happiness on this fragrant occasion, and praised the good organization and various activities
