Under the direction of the Dean of the Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, the Department of Criminal and Judicial Evidence at Najaf Technical Institute organized a scientific symposium entitled “Means of Detecting Forgery and Counterfeiting”. This symposium was held as part of the activities of the fourth edition of the Najaf Book Fair on February 17, and witnessed a remarkable presence of professors, students and those interested in the field of forensic evidence and the topic of the symposium.
The symposium included a valuable scientific dialogue, where Professor Hussein Arif, a lecturer in the Department of Criminal Evidence, presented a comprehensive presentation of the latest technologies and means used in detecting forgery, with a focus on the importance of advanced technology in this field. He also provided practical examples and case studies to give a practical character to the lecture. For her part, Professor Israa Raji Naji, a lecturer in the same department, addressed the legal and ethical aspects related to forgery and counterfeiting, and stressed the need for concerted efforts between the various concerned parties to combat this phenomenon. The symposium was characterized by interactive discussions between the attendees and the lecturers, where they exchanged opinions and inquiries about the topics raised. At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the lecturers in honor of their efforts. The participants in the symposium came out with several important recommendations, including the need to organize more seminars and workshops in the field of forensic evidence, and to encourage students to participate actively in these events in order to enhance their skills and knowledge in this vital field.
