Last week, the Technical Institute – Najaf held a memorial service to offer condolences and sympathy to Professor Al-Hassani on the death of his father, the late Professor Falah Al-Hassani, may God have mercy on him. The memorial service, which was held in the Central Library building, was attended by a large gathering of figures, led by the family of the deceased Al-Hassani, the Dean of the Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, the Dean’s assistants, the Institute’s affiliates of professors and employees, and the Institute’s students.
The memorial service lasted for two hours in the morning, and verses from the Holy Qur’an filled the atmosphere of the service. An atmosphere of sadness and reverence prevailed during it, while mourners flocked to the service to recite Surat Al-Fatihah for the soul of the deceased. The council concluded with a valuable moral and religious lecture delivered by Sheikh Hassan Al-Dajili, in which he recalled the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and drew lessons and morals from the Holy Quran in his lecture. The lecture had a great impact on the souls of the attendees, as it reinforced the meanings of patience and acceptance with Allah. The attendees expressed their deep sorrow for the loss of Professor Falah Al-Hassani, praising his virtues and professional career. They also offered their sincere condolences to Professor Al-Hassani and his honorable family, asking Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy on the deceased and to grant him a place in His spacious gardens and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.
