With the beginning of the week and coinciding with the second-stage students starting their studies after the end of their spring break, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, Dean of Najaf Technical Institute, was keen to closely monitor the progress of the educational process and practical training in the various departments of the institute.
The Dean of the Institute, Dr. Al-Abdali, made a morning tour that included the various parts of the institute and included a visit to the mechanical workshops in the institute and the lathe workshop on Sunday, corresponding to the 19th of the first month 2025.
In his office, he first met with some students to answer their urgent problems in order to solve them. During his tour, he stopped by the Deanship of the Technical Engineering College in Najaf and met there with Professor Dr. Hassanein Abdul Ghani, Dean of the College, and they discussed together the most important ways that would advance the two academies locally and internationally.
Dr. Al-Abdeli visited the lathe workshop and met there with Assistant Professor Dr. Louay Mohammed Ali Al-Khafaji, the head of the mechanical workshops at the institute. They were accompanied on the tour of the lathe workshop by Dr. Salah Mahdi Al-Hussaini, Head of the Oil Refining Department. The Dean met with the students in their practical training. The Dean watched the students’ skills in practical application on various machines and the use of equipment. He supervised and listened to the students’ comments that would make the student environment better. In his conversation with the professors supervising the practical training, Dr. Al-Abdeli praised the efforts they are making to qualify students for the labor market. He stressed the importance of practical training in developing students’ skills and enhancing their practical capabilities. From inside the lathe workshop, the Dean was informed of the extent of the students’ development and readiness to receive lessons. In their turn, the professors explained that efforts are still being made to educate the students and the batches are promising and have bright minds for ideas and in fact they constitute a real wealth for the university and the country. For his part, Dr. Louay Mohammed Ali Al-Khafaji, the Institute’s Mechanical Workshops Officer, stressed the importance of these inspection visits in raising the morale of students and professors, and urging them to exert more effort to achieve excellence. Through this visit, Dr. Al-Abdeli stressed the Institute’s commitment to providing the best educational and training opportunities for its students, expressing his confidence in their ability to achieve the desired achievements.
