Under the generous patronage of the Dean of the Technical Institute – Najaf, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, the Department of Dental Prevention and Orthodontics, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, professors of the department, and students from the various departments of the institute, held a celebration commemorating the birth of the Commander of the Faithful Ali (peace be upon him) in the Scientific Complex Hall.
In a joyful ceremony filled with colors, decorations, and applause, students of Dental Prevention and Orthodontics held a celebration commemorating the birth of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the Scientific Complex Hall, due to its great impact on the souls of the students and to strengthen their sound Islamic faith and their love for the Prophet’s family (peace be upon him). The celebration began with verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by poems in love for Imam Ali (peace be upon him) as he is the living model of justice, humanity, and wisdom.
The head of the department, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, attended the gathering to congratulate the students on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH). The department’s rapporteur and teaching staff had a distinguished presence at the gathering. The students wore the auspicious birth scarves that combined the name of Imam Ali (PBUH) with the logo of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. Juices and sweets were distributed at the gathering on this occasion, and poets and singers took to the stage, and with poetic and chanting performances they ignited enthusiasm among the students. The students showed great interaction with the poems and poetic verses, as they are at the core of the moderate Islamic intellectual belief that calls for peace and affection. On this occasion, the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Al-Abdeli, said (I am pleased to witness these joyful celebrations in our institute on the occasion of the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), which reflects the students’ deep faith and appreciation for the role of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them) in our lives. Reviving these blessed memories is not just a tradition, but rather a renewal of the covenant and allegiance to the approach of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). I thank those in charge of this ceremony, especially the Department of Dental Prevention and Orthodontics, for their distinguished efforts in making this event a success. Such initiatives contribute to building the integrated personality of the student, and instill in the souls of students the lofty moral values.) In conclusion, holding moderate religious and moral forums at the Najaf Technical Institute is a call to follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his honorable family in all aspects of life, to work to spread the values of justice, equality and love in society.
