In a step towards building an educated generation, Najaf Technical Institute hosted Al-Risalah Book Store, to provide its students with a wide range of knowledge and information, in response to the reading initiative launched by His Excellency the Prime Minister.
The store, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Al-Abdeli, displayed more than 500 titles from various disciplines, to cover students’ passion for philosophy, psychology, politics, children’s education, literature, history, and others.
The opening of Al-Risalah Book Store at Najaf Technical Institute comes as a culmination of a series of exhibitions and cultural events witnessed by Iraqi universities, as the institute seeks to provide a stimulating environment for reading and knowledge for its students. The institute held a book fair at the beginning of this year and there is a central library containing thousands of titles and volumes classified in various specializations in addition to the institute’s electronic library. Dr. Al-Abdeli said: “We are proud to launch the message store at the institute, and we hope that it will contribute to enriching the cultural life of our students and encourage them to read continuously.” In line with the reading initiative launched by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Najaf Technical Institute proves its commitment to supporting culture and knowledge, and enhances Iraq’s position as a distinguished cultural edifice. Investing in knowledge is the best investment, and we look forward to this store being the nucleus of larger cultural projects that contribute to building a knowledge society in Iraq. It is an invitation to all students, faculty members and employees to visit the message store and take advantage of this valuable opportunity, to make reading a daily habit and raise our awareness and culture
