{"id":52294,"date":"2026-08-18T07:52:55","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T07:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inj.atu.edu.iq\/?p=52294"},"modified":"2026-08-18T07:53:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T07:53:05","slug":"active-participation-of-al-najaf-polytechnic-college-in-the-ministry-of-higher-education-and-unesco-workshop-on-integrating-digital-and-green-skills-tvet3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inj.atu.edu.iq\/?p=52294&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Active Participation of Al-Najaf Polytechnic College in the Ministry of Higher Education and UNESCO Workshop on Integrating Digital and Green Skills (TVET3)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Government Media and Communication Division \/ Al-Najaf Technical Institute<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reaffirming its active role in developing technical education outcomes and meeting labor market needs, the Dean of Al-Najaf Polytechnic College, Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, headed the college delegation participating in the specialized workshop <strong>\u201cDeveloping Action Plans for Integrating Green and Digital Skills into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET3)\u201d<\/strong>, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salah Mahdi Saleh Al-Adali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop was organized and sponsored by the <strong>Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research<\/strong>, in cooperation with the <strong>European Union<\/strong> and the <strong>United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)<\/strong>, from <strong>9 to 11 August 2026<\/strong> in Baghdad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop, held as part of the third phase of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Development Project under the theme <strong>\u201cGreen and Digital Technical and Vocational Education and Training to Enhance Employment Opportunities in Iraq,\u201d<\/strong> aimed to formulate practical and effective action plans for integrating the requirements of the green transition and modern digital skills into technical curricula and educational programs. This would contribute to enhancing the competencies of academic graduates and increasing their employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop featured a comprehensive analytical presentation delivered by UNESCO expert <strong>Mr. Ghassan Al-Saffar<\/strong>, addressing <strong>\u201cKey Concepts and Indicators of the Iraqi Labor Market.\u201d<\/strong> The presentation examined mechanisms for linking strategic plans with current developments and the actual requirements of sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event witnessed broad participation from the leadership of <strong>Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University<\/strong>, including the Dean of Al-Najaf Polytechnic College, Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali; the Dean of Al-Kufa Polytechnic College, Prof. Dr. Atheer Kadhim Abadi; the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Muslim Hamza; and the Director of the Department of Studies and Planning at the University Presidency, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Aziz Al-Shibli. This participation reflects the spirit of integration and the shared commitment between the college and the university presidency to advancing the quality of technical and vocational education and developing its institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the activities held during the workshop, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, presented the college\u2019s comprehensive action plan and strategic roadmap for the coming years with exceptional precision and care. He outlined mechanisms for curricular modernization, expanding digital implementation, and adopting energy and environmental sustainability concepts in educational laboratories and workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement on the sidelines of his participation in the workshop, the Dean of the College emphasized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur participation in this specialized workshop is in line with the modern orientations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its international partners in promoting the concepts of the green economy and digital transformation.
