An academic delegation from the Technical Institute of Najaf visited one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat University, namely the Najaf Al-Ashraf Refinery. The delegation was received by the Director of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Authority, Engineer Laith Abdulrasool Mohammed, and the Refinery Director, Engineer Fadhil Sami Jalil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Authority Director welcomed the visit, affirming that the senior management of the Middle Refineries Company and the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Authority place great importance on developing horizons of joint scientific cooperation with educational institutions and providing support for holding scientific seminars, workshops, and training courses for students at the refinery, with the aim of preparing them to work in their respective fields in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the head of the delegation, the Dean of the Technical Institute of Najaf, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Abdul Hussein Al-Abdali, along with the Head of the Petroleum Refining Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Salah Mahdi Saleh Al-Husseini, and the accompanying delegation, explained that the visit aims to strengthen relations between state institutions and academic universities through scientific cooperation and the exchange of expertise. This includes studying and analyzing obstacles facing the increase of production lines by simulating them using specialized engineering software, as well as developing students\u2019 practical skills through summer training programs and periodic scientific visits to qualify them for work in the oil industries sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Authority Director, the refinery management, and the senior staff of the refinery for their continuous support, cooperation with educational institutions, and for receiving students during scientific visits in service of the public interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
