In an effort to enhance scientific collaboration between educational institutions and support early academic guidance, the Civil Engineering Department at the Najaf Technical Institute hosted a scientific visit for surveying technology students from Al-Ghari Preparatory School for Girls. The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the department’s academic and practical environment and introduce them to the practical aspects of engineering disciplines. The visit included a tour of the institute’s laboratories and technical workshops, during which the equipment used in the surveying technology branch was showcased. A comprehensive explanation was provided regarding the operation of this equipment and the key practical principles associated with its use in the engineering field. Professor Sabah Nouri Saeed, a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department, demonstrated how to operate the equipment and its associated practical applications, thus bridging the gap between theory and practice. Professor Nabil Gatfan Loti, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, gave a presentation highlighting the department’s importance and its vital role in preparing specialized technical personnel who contribute to reconstruction and development. He emphasized the department’s future role in supporting infrastructure projects and helping the country recover from the devastation and destruction. Faculty members from the department also shared their scientific and practical experiences, highlighting their contributions to developing the educational process and supplying the labor market with qualified professionals in the field. Civil and Surveying Technologies. At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, welcomed this initiative, praising this type of scientific visit and emphasizing its importance in achieving what he described as \u201cintellectual and practical cross-fertilization\u201d between students and educational institutions, given its positive impact on developing academic awareness and motivating students to choose their future specializations with knowledge and awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
