With confident steps towards achieving a progressive university vision, and based on the directives of the Dean of Najaf Technical Institute to create a safe and sustainable learning environment, a specialized team from the Civil Defense Directorate\/Unexploded Ordnance Disposal and Non-Technical Field Survey Division in Najaf Governorate began conducting field inspections and geological surveys of the areas designated for new expansion within the university campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This campaign came in response to an official request submitted by the Dean of the Institute to ensure that the areas designated for the construction of new buildings and gardens are free of any war remnants or unexploded ordnance. The field team was headed by First Lieutenant Disposal Officer Dirgham Abbas Barbari, accompanied by a team of Disposal Officers from the Directorate, who conducted a thorough and comprehensive survey of the targeted areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the completion of their inspection, the specialized team stated: “The areas designated for the new expansion are completely clear and 100% safe, and are now ready for construction and landscaping operations to commence in accordance with occupational safety standards.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, the Civil Defense Unit at the institute confirmed that this step paves the way for an ambitious plan to increase green spaces and university buildings, in line with the requirements of sustainable natural development. The unit explained that the new designs aim to create modern gardens and infrastructure befitting the campus, providing a natural haven for students, keeping pace with the significant expansion the institute is witnessing in its scientific and administrative facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, expressed his sincere gratitude to the specialized security team, adding, “Ensuring the safety of the university campus is a fundamental pillar of our vision for sustainable expansion, guaranteeing a safe learning environment and green spaces worthy of our students, and supporting the urban and environmental development of the institute.” This initiative comes within the framework of the institute\u2019s strategy to promote university environmental safety, and to ensure that construction projects are implemented on a solid and safe foundation, contributing to raising the urban and aesthetic level of the institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
