Seventeen students from the Tourism Technology Department at the Najaf Technical Institute have begun their intensive summer training program at Horizon Road Travel and Tourism Company, one of the leading Iraqi companies in this field. This training, directed by Dr. Hussein Munim, Head of the Tourism Technology Department, and supervised and implemented by Ms. Ahlam Dhaher Mohsen from the Najaf Technical Institute, aims to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare them for the job market in the growing tourism sector.
Horizon Road Company’s management has prepared an advanced training program supervised by a group of elite lecturers and specialists to ensure the best results. The program focuses on simulating a real-life work environment, giving students a deep understanding of the future tasks and responsibilities awaiting them in the tourism sector. The Dean of the Institute, Professor Haider Al-Abdeli, emphasized that summer training is a cornerstone of the tourism technology students’ journey, emphasizing that this golden opportunity allows students to gain essential practical experience that complements the educational process inside the classroom. Dr. Al-Abdeli pointed out that this type of training directly contributes to preparing young talent for the evolving job market and equipping them with the necessary skills required by the tourism and travel sector.
Dr. Al-Abdeli expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Horizon Travel and Tourism Company for hosting the Institute’s students, praising its pioneering role in supporting the educational process and opening up training opportunities for future generations. This reflects its sense of social responsibility and its commitment to developing national cadres.
The training workshop, which began with a valuable lecture by Dr. Mansour Al-Zubaidi entitled “Tourist Areas in Najaf: Their Negatives and Positives,” reviewed a number of prominent tourist areas in Iraq, with a particular focus on the tourist attractions in Najaf. The lecturer also discussed various tourist facilities, such as hotels, restaurants, and cafes, and compared the services provided to highlight their strengths and weaknesses, enriching the students’ understanding of the challenges and opportunities available in the local market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
