Under the theme “Human Trafficking: The Crime of the Age and Our Humanitarian Duty,” and under the supervision of the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdali, the Institute organized a significant cultural awareness symposium on Tuesday, April 22nd, in the Scientific Complex Hall.
The symposium witnessed a remarkable attendance, represented by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Salah Mahdi Al-Adli, and active participation from the College of Education for Girls, the Najaf Education Directorate, the Najaf Governorate Diwan, the Fine Arts Institute for Girls (Al-Sabahi), and the Fine Arts Institute for Boys (Al-Sabahi).
The symposium activities opened with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatihah for the souls of Iraq’s martyrs, followed by a touching poetic recitation.
The symposium addressed a variety of important topics presented by a group of experts. Professor Safaa Al-Sultani, media advisor from the Najaf Governorate Diwan, took the stage to present a topic titled “The Role of the Media in Addressing Incidents of Human Trafficking.” Professor Ali Al-Aboudi from the College of Education for Girls reviewed “The Psychological Dimension of Human Trafficking.” Professor Banin Al-Bu Asiba from the Najaf Education Directorate presented an important topic on “Raising School Students’ Awareness Against Trafficking.”
The symposium also featured a screening of a moving film titled “The White Paper,” produced by the Institute of Fine Arts for Boys (Sabahi). The film addressed the issue of human trafficking and the greed of traffickers for children’s organs, highlighting God’s grace in caring for people.
In a touching gesture, student Zahraa Abdul Jabbar took the stage to tell a true story about human trafficking and a woman who survived after some of her organs were stolen, conveying a powerful humanitarian message against this heinous crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the symposium, the Technical Institute’s guests toured the art exhibition, where students from the Fine Arts Institute for Girls (Sabahi) created moving paintings that depicted the most horrific feelings of pain and torture women experience. The guests also visited the pavilions of the Institute’s two-day book fair. The symposium concluded with the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Al-Abdeli, honoring the guests and lecturers in appreciation of their valuable contribution to the success of this important awareness event. In turn, the Dean of the Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Al-Abdeli, stated: “Organizing this symposium on the crime of human trafficking reflects the Najaf Technical Institute’s commitment to its awareness-raising and societal role. We thank all the participants and lecturers for their valuable contributions to the success of this important event, which aims to shed light on this heinous crime and the need for concerted efforts to combat it and protect our society.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
