The Department of Cosmetic and Laser Technologies at Najaf Technical Institute organized a valuable educational symposium entitled “Skin Pigmentation and Laser Treatment”, presented by Professor Aseel Ibrahim Al-Bashirawi, aiming to raise awareness about this important topic and provide participants with the necessary information. The most important topics covered by the symposium:
1) Clarifying the types of skin pigmentation and their causes (such as melasma, freckles, pigmentation resulting from sunlight or inflammation).
2) Explaining the mechanism of laser action in treating skin pigmentation and how to use it in a safe and effective manner, in addition to discussing the different types of laser devices used to remove pigmentation, their benefits and risks.
3) Highlighting common challenges in treating skin pigmentation.
4) Explaining the cases in which laser is prohibited from being used to treat skin pigmentation.
5) Encouraging specialists to attend courses and read recent studies to stay up to date with new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, praised the prominent role played by the professors of the Department of Cosmetology and Laser in demonstrating the strength and importance of the department and its societal role, stressing that this symposium comes within the framework of the Institute’s keenness to provide the latest information and technologies in the field of cosmetology and laser to specialists and interested parties. Dr. Al-Abdeli stressed that this symposium contributes to raising awareness about this important topic and providing participants with the necessary information, noting that the Institute will continue to organize such events that serve the community and contribute to the development of the medical and cosmetic sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, Professor Al-Bashirawi stressed the importance of continuous updating of knowledge in the field of cosmetology and laser, and urged specialists to keep pace with the latest technologies and innovations to provide the best services to patients. The symposium concluded with important recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation between specialists and researchers in this field, and developing educational curricula to keep pace with the rapid developments in the world of cosmetology and laser<\/p>\n\n\n\n
