Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Najaf Technical Institute, Department of Forensic and Judicial Evidence Technologies, held a scientific symposium entitled “Entrepreneurship and its Importance in Community Development” as part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, presented by the lecturer M.M. Samah Hamza Al-Fatlawi, in the presence of an elite group of lecturers and students.
The symposium addressed the importance of promoting a culture of entrepreneurship among young people and the effective role played by small and medium enterprises in supporting the local economy and achieving sustainable development. It also focused on the challenges facing entrepreneurs and ways to overcome them, in addition to the role of innovative thinking in promoting emerging projects.
The symposium reviewed the concept of entrepreneurship and its economic and social impact through creating job opportunities and achieving community development, while highlighting inspiring success stories of entrepreneurs who succeeded in transforming their ideas into successful projects.
In this regard, the Dean of the Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, stated: (We thank all those who contributed to the success of this symposium. The partnership between the university and the community is the key to achieving sustainable development. Investing in entrepreneurship is an investment in our youth and our country.)
The symposium witnessed a distinguished interaction from the attendees, as the lecture sparked fruitful discussions and questions that reflected the students’ awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship in building a bright future.
The lecture concluded with recommendations calling on students to take advantage of the available capabilities to develop their creative ideas and transform them into pioneering projects that contribute to serving the community.
