{"id":32728,"date":"2024-11-25T06:37:07","date_gmt":"2024-11-25T06:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inj.atu.edu.iq\/?p=32728"},"modified":"2024-11-25T06:37:08","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T06:37:08","slug":"strong-awareness-message-guidance-week-festival-at-najaf-technical-institute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inj.atu.edu.iq\/?p=32728&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Strong Awareness Message: Guidance Week Festival at Najaf Technical Institute"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Government Media and Communication Division\/ Najaf Technical Institute<br>The Technical Institute-Najaf witnessed today, Sunday, November 24, the launch of the University Guidance Week Festival in an atmosphere full of activity and interaction, under the generous patronage of the President of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and in the presence of the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdali, and a number of influential official and religious figures.<br>The festival was opened with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran and the recitation of Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by a group of diverse segments that included scientific seminars, student competitions, poetry segments, and a poster exhibition.<br>The festival included a valuable lecture by Colonel Jalal Fahim Al-Hasnawi from the Najaf Police Command to the students of the Najaf Technical Institute on the danger of electronic blackmail, where he shed light on this increasing crime in our digital age, and addressed its various dimensions and ways to prevent it.<br>The most important points discussed by the lecturer, Colonel Jalal Al-Hasnawi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Definition of electronic blackmail: The colonel explained the concept of electronic blackmail simply, and explained that it is a threat to someone to publish private information or photos of them in order to obtain a financial or non-financial reward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Types of electronic blackmail: The lecturer reviewed the different types of electronic blackmail, such as sexual blackmail, financial blackmail, and academic blackmail, explaining the mechanisms of each type and its impact on victims.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reasons for the spread of electronic blackmail: The lecturer discussed the reasons for the spread of this crime, including easy access to the Internet, the spread of social media, and the lack of awareness among many of the seriousness of this crime.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ways to prevent electronic blackmail: The colonel provided a set of tips and instructions to prevent electronic blackmail, such as avoiding sharing personal information on the Internet, not accepting friend requests from strangers, and fortifying electronic devices with strong passwords.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal procedures when exposed to blackmail: The lecturer explained the legal procedures that must be taken in the event of exposure to electronic blackmail, such as going to the competent security authorities and filing an official complaint.<br>Importance of the lecture:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raising awareness: The lecture aimed to raise students&#8217; awareness of the dangers of electronic blackmail and how to avoid it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preventive education: It provided students with the necessary knowledge to protect themselves and their families from falling victim to this crime.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encouraging reporting: The lecture urged students to report any blackmail they encounter or witness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same event, Sheikh Hassan Al-Dajili, from the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Institute, gave a valuable lecture on ethics and human customs that are consistent with the aspirations of Islam and the university community. In his lecture, Sheikh Al-Dajili discussed a set of Islamic moral values, such as honesty, truthfulness, justice, respect, and tolerance, stressing the importance of these values \u200b\u200bin building the character of the Muslim individual and building a strong and cohesive society. Sheikh Al-Dajili stressed the importance of the university student being a good role model in society and contributing to building a sound moral society, noting that Islamic ethics are not just a set of rules, but rather a way of life that is linked to the individual&#8217;s happiness and success in this world and the hereafter.
