In a step that expresses national cohesion and keenness to spread the culture of peace, the Technical Institute – Najaf held a distinctive festival entitled “Science and Peace” on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The festival witnessed wide participation from students, professors and administrators, and included various segments that reflected the extent of the academic community’s interest in national issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The festival opened with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran and touching words delivered about the importance of peace and building the nation, as well as wonderful poems that praised Iraq and rejected war and violence. The festival’s activities added more joy, as colorful balloons were launched in the colors of the Iraqi flag, and white doves symbolizing peace and freedom. The musical choir also played the Iraqi national anthem, which aroused feelings of pride and belonging among the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The festival was attended by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Abdeli, and a number of professors and administrators who praised the festival’s goals and commended the efforts of the organizers. After the main segments ended, Dr. Al-Abdeli and the guests toured the rose and shrub nurseries that decorated the institute’s premises, expressing their admiration for the beauty that these nurseries added to the festival and enhanced the institute’s role in preserving the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This festival reflects the interest of the Technical Institute in Najaf in societal and cultural issues, and contributes to enhancing the spirit of citizenship and belonging among students. It also emphasizes the importance of concerted efforts to build a prosperous and secure Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
