The department was established in 2006, and it has graduated technical staff with diplomas in the fields of architectural drawing, design of architectural plans, and interior design for buildings and structures. These graduates have effectively contributed to supporting projects entrusted to them by government agencies and the private sector. To meet the labor market’s needs in the field of engineering drawing and the production of architectural plans, the department aims to fulfill its mission and vision. This includes developing procedures, mechanisms, and available resources, activating them, reorganizing priorities, and utilizing them optimally. Additionally, the department focuses on aligning objectives with available means and suitable procedures, and developing action plans that achieve the strategy within an appropriate priority program, considering available resources. Furthermore, opportunities for measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the achieved results will be provided through establishing measurable performance indicators, which will be continuously monitored.

- Prepare qualified human resources in the field of architectural design and decoration techniques, capable of competing in the labor market according to internationally recognized quality standards.

- Work on developing technical education by updating curricula and modernizing laboratories according to internationally recognized Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, and involving department members in specialized training courses.
- Contribute to community service by organizing courses and workshops on various architectural design and decoration applications, promoting construction and development at a high level of quality.
- Exchange theoretical and practical technical experiences with other relevant technical institutes and colleges and the private sector labor market.
- Provide a conducive environment that encourages learning and training.
- Offer engineering and technical consulting to all government departments, institutions, and the private sector.
