The Department of Tourism was established in the academic year 2012-2013 with two branches (Tourism Guidance and Hotel Management). The curriculum includes courses covering both practical and theoretical aspects of both branches, equipping students with the necessary skills to manage and operate hotels and restaurants, interact with guests and customers, and design tourism programs.
The theoretical and practical studies encompass tourism marketing systems, electronic booking systems (Amadeus system), as well as practical skills in hotels and restaurants.

The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at the Technical Institute of Najaf aims to provide distinguished educational, training, and research services to students in the fields of tourism, hotel management, and tourist guidance. It also seeks to practically prepare them to compete in the tourism labor market, achieve leadership in education, research, and training, contribute to scientific, knowledge-based, and moral development, and serve the community and environment, thus fulfilling the mission of the university.
